Perceptions. Word of the Day-

               PERCEPTIONS
OPEN YOUR MIND, SEE HOW I SEE. LOOK THROUGH MY EYES, LET US PASS OURS AROUND.

I have learned an extrodinarily great amount about myself by observing others. In fact, by observing others there have been many instances in which I discovered something not so desirable of myself. However in doing so I was able to become aware of my behavior and adjust it so to be better and grow. Other times I've seen in others parts of myself that are right and harmonious. I realize though not everyone percieves things in the same manner. Some, to us, may have an abnormal perception of reality. But whose to say what normal is? Whose perception is correct? Well I will stick to my moral compass and believe that it's not always about whom is right or wrong. In the case of perceptions, I believe there is no right or wrong. How one percieves something today may do a 360° over night or perhaps it takes a year for them to look at it in a different light, or perhaps their perception never changes. It's important I believe to never discredit someone for how they percieve anything. If you find yourself in difference with another's perception, why not try to see it from how they are and vice versa. Perhaps in doing so we come to an intertwined new perception entirely. Either way, it is fun to see through others eyes. I can recall many instances now in my personal life, in which I've had a very strong perception on a thing , and then once reviewing and pondering on it months down the road , I see it or recall it in a completely new light. It's funny how time can cause this to happen. And in these instances , I so to can look back and see not where I had a false perception at the time because that wasnt the case. My perception at that time was correct and personal but I realize now my perception once revisiting the subject matter has changed. Sometimes completely and sometimes in small detail. So what does this change say? I believe it tells me , I'm doing it right. It means I have grown, I have an open mind, and am a mindful person that practices self reflection and quiet thinking.
In you reading my blog, information and opinion of someone other than your own is entering your mind right now and causing you to percieve in a way not of your own. We must be careful to filter what information we do read but to read and study all facets of all that is. Open mindedness is something we should all water in our garden daily. Everything is always changing. We are in a constant state of change. So to have a close mind is unnatural in all of its ways.
